Safergrass

Black rubber matrix tiles installed onto existing turf. Allows existing grass to grow through, which can then be mown as usual.

This surface is only suitable for reasonably flat sites with good quality existing turf. Plastic pegs hold the mat in place until the grass grows through strengthening the hold further. Following installation, maintenance of the turf edging (i.e. watering, prevention against vandalism) is the clients responsibility.

This surface will follow any existing undulations on site. Installation onto unsuitable sites (i.e. soft ground, existing turf of insufficient quality), can cause tiles to sink and reduce the impact absorbency properties of the surface. Poor maintenance (i.e. infrequent mowing) can lead to uneven patches creating trip points or reducing impact absorbing properties.

Safergrass complies with BS EN 1177 and BS 7188 for fall heights up to 2.0m. Test certificates are supplied.
