HRH the Duke of Kent KG has opened an exciting new play area at Collinson Park, Barton Under Needwood.
Around 600 schoolchildren attended the opening, proudly waving their Union Jacks to welcome the royal visitor. The sun shone on what proved to be a successful day with almost 1000 people in attendance.
Parish councillor Vic Trigwell was impressed with our part in the new playground, commenting “sales and technical support from Playdale has been excellent”.
The play area, funded by the previous government’s Playbuilder scheme, features an impressive selection of equipment, including a Mega Swing, Rota Bounce, Adventure Trail and two parallel Aerial Runways that allow children to compete in a race against each other. The site also makes use of natural play elements, blending seemlessly into the surrounding environment.
