Manufacturing & Materials

British Manufacturing

We are proud to be one of the few British owned manufacturing companies in the children’s outdoor playground equipment industry.

Our manufacturing facilities are based in the Lake District where we make our stainless steel and timber playground equipment for playgrounds in the UK and around the world.

Key Processes

Timber

Timber is soft, warm and perfect for making children’s playground equipment.

Our timber is slow grown Northern European Pine which comes from managed and sustainable forests. The timbers we use are laminated to create high-strength, superbly engineered timber poles that are made to last. These are then pressure treated in accordance to EN 351-1 and EN 335-2 to preserve our timber for up to 20 years.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is tough, durable and it’s a great material for manufacturing playground equipment.

We fabricate all of our steel components in-house, right through to welding, bending, shot blasting and painting. This makes our stainless steel ranges very competitive, extremely durable and highly engineered; with guarantees of up to 25 years.

Compact Grade Laminates

Our Compact Grade Laminate (CGL) panels add a vibrant touch of colour to our playground equipment. We manufacture these using our in-house CNC machinery, which gives extreme accuracy and a high quality finish.

Steel Core Ropes and Nets

Our steel core ropes are vandal resistant and highly durable and our nets are assembled by hand making them perfect for every piece of equipment.

Environmental Awareness

Following the successful introduction of ISO9000 in 1998, we introduced ISO14001 systems into all of our operations and were awarded full independent accreditation by BSI for compliance to ISO 14001 in 2006. Continual improvement to what we do is one of our core principles.
