BBC Children in Need 2015Friday, 13th November 2015 4:48 pm
Playdale staff added a few spots, flashes of yellow and Pudsey Bear accessories to their work wear today, to raise money for BBC Children in Need. Money raised will go to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Everyone donated generously when they arrived in work, and we made sure that everyone ticked the Gift Aid box so that an additional 25% can be claimed by Children in Need on top of our fundraising total.
During the day, a fun competition was held to boost donations further entitled ‘What made Pudsey LOL?’ The winner guessed correctly that it was when Harry Hill was battling the Hairy Bikers in his version of the A-ha video ‘Take on Me’ (Children in Need 2013) and was very pleased with his prize from the official Pudsey merchandise range.
Playdale supports this fantastic event each year and past fundraising ideas have included (male!) leg waxing, Man Vs Food contests, cake sales and fancy dress days.
We managed to raise a fantastic £80 today for this worthy cause and had lots of fun in the process. Guess who the prize for the best outfit went to??
BBC Children in Need works throughout the year to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy and secure childhood, and the chance to reach their full potential. It relies on the energy and commitment of thousands of fundraisers and supporters across the UK, who donate their time and money to put on events supporting the Appeal. Whether through cake sales, quizzes or dress ups, every penny of the money raised goes towards supporting projects across the UK.
