‘Exporting your goods around the world’

Playdale Playgrounds’ Managing Director, Barry Leahey, was delighted to be invited to be one of the guest speakers at an event in Kendal last week which was organised by South Lakeland District Council.

The Council’s Invest in South Lakeland team are a dedicated group that provide advice and support to local businesses and those who may relocate to the area. They also offer sound support and guidance on exporting which was the theme of the event.

Barry shared Playdale’s exporting experiences to date in the hope of making neighbouring, local businesses realise the business growth opportunities that are available to them through the export route.

Guests were shown the steps and processes that were taken by Playdale to achieve the level of exporting success that we now have. Playdale Playground equipment is now installed in twenty two countries around the world and we have been UKTI’s Export Champions for three years running.

Following the event Barry said “It was a privilege to be able to impart my exporting knowledge, experiences and advice to local businesses who may have been deliberating about taking the exporting route, but just needed that first incentive and motivation to take the plunge”
