International Business Development Manager

Home based UK, overseas travel (up to 50% travel)

At Playdale Playgrounds we are a dynamic family-run, international business currently exporting to more than 50 countries through a distributor network, who designs, manufactures, and installs fun, exciting, outdoor playground equipment.  We pride ourselves on creating exciting, innovative, and educational outdoor play equipment that makes children smile all over the world.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Export Professional to join our Team where international business is a top priority for our continued growth.  We are looking for someone with proven international sales experience to lead and drive expansion into international markets.  Key aspects of the role will be developing an international customer base, promoting our products, identifying new opportunities, forecasting, and critically creating a stable distribution network.  This position represents a fantastic opportunity to grow an international business developing a range of distributors depending on the territory requirements.

The key requirements are:

  • Ability to develop a successful international strategy
  • Selling and marketing brands direct to international retailers
  • Selecting and managing distributors to deliver growth
  • Leading the end-to-end execution of the international business

About You:

Likely to already be successful international sales professional with a proven track record, ideally having a background in the Playground industry with a strong grasp of international markets.

Have a can-do attitude with an ability to find solutions that work both for the customer and the company alike. Energetic, highly-motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.

A proven track record of success in growing the profitability and sales of an organisation. With the ability to view the bigger picture and build credible growth and product strategies to achieve desired vision and outcomes.

Having commercial and numerate understanding of margins and P&L and able to work the cost requirements of product shipping and customer supply chains to best overall advantage.

Have the ability to travel overseas for upto 50% of the time.
