Haverthwaite Railway Station has a new Woodland Play Area that is set to liven up the local attraction and entice more visitors.
The railway runs between Lakeside and Haverthwaite and allows enthusiasts to depart the train and see the local sites. Lakeside has an array of attractions that passengers can visit on their day out including Windermere Lake Cruises, Lakes Aquarium and The World of Beatrix Potter.
The play area has added further appeal for visitors to the railway, which already boasts a lovely cafe, gift shop, and of course the beautiful scenery.
Michael Maher, Haverthwaite Railway Managing Director, decided that the time was right to build a play area to the side of the station, turning it into a delightful Woodland Play Area.
The play area features a range of Playdale equipment, including: a Little Hamlet, High Volume Tower, Jungle Walk, Webnet and Play Train, plus much more.
This is Phase 1 of the project with the intention to extend the site at a later date.
John Croasdale, Playdale’s Managing Director, said: “Being a local company this project is something that we hold close to our hearts at Playdale, and we are delighted that we could offer our services to Mr Maher and Haverthwaite Station. It is great for the village and children will absolutely love the new play area.”
For the first time you can now see exactly how we install the equipment with our new Time Lapse Installation Video. Filmed over nine working days the video shows how our Playdale team have made this exciting new Woodland Play Area come to life.
