A company is nothing without its employees, and Playdale is no different. We are very proud of our #Team, who work so hard to make dream playgrounds a reality, and to #makesmiles wherever they go. Our area managers coordinate and cover all areas of the country, helping to design and build extraordinary playspaces. Let us introduce some of our wonderful team, and tell you a little about them –
Paul is our Regional Manager for the North of England, living with his family near Bolton in Lancashire. In his spare time Paul likes trail/fell running, and has completed the Ironman Triathlon – a 2.4km lake swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26 mile run, raising over £1000 for charity. While we hope working at Playdale isn’t quite as gruelling(!), Paul takes a great deal of satisfaction from his role here –
“The best thing about my job is, without a doubt seeing the kids playing on the finished play area is what makes this job special. I visited a Stockport school recently and I overheard a young girl enthusiastically telling her friends “I’ve done it, I’ve done it!” She had managed to climb over the Scramble Climber for the very first time and she was beaming with pride!”
Jill is our regional manager for the South of England. Working with Playdale since 1991, Jill lives in Kent with her husband and two teenage boys. When not walking her dog, Jess, she enjoys playing tennis and going to the gym, and loves the variety she sees when working –
“I enjoy meeting lots of different people from various occupations, some of whom are volunteers, trying to create the best play area for their children.”
Jonathan is our area manager for Cumbria, the North-East and Yorkshire. He has lived in County Durham all his life, enjoying the beautiful countryside with his partner and two daughters. When not working with Playdale, he enjoys long walks with his two dogs, and taking his daughters to playgrounds and beauty spots.
“The best thing about my job is providing communities with a fun and safe place for children to socialise and play. I love being on the road, meeting with clients and bringing their ideas to life. When I see children playing on the equipment and see their enjoyment it gives me a real sense of achievement.”
Harry is our area manager for the Midlands. A devoted cyclist, Harry has even represented the East Midlands in cycling at international events, including the Tour of Wales. A Leicestershire man for the majority of his life, he holds friends and family dear, and loves the atmosphere of working with playgrounds and outdoor facilities.
“Idea and solution prospecting with customers and colleagues are the most desirable aspects of my job. I love having the opportunity to speak daily and liaise with many different people to ultimately provide enjoyment and make smiles.”
Will is our area manager for the East Anglia region. Working with us since 2005, Will lives just outside Cambridge with his wife and two kids. A qualified swimming judge, he loves to compete in swimming masters competitions with his local swimming club, as well as being a dab hand in the kitchen.
“The best part of my job is working with customers on developing new play spaces. It’s fantastic and it’s what makes my job worthwhile. Delivering an exciting play area can really affect a community.”
Adam is our manager for London and the surrounding counties, including part of the West country and the Isle of Wight. Originally from West London, he has recently moved to Surrey with his new wife, and is a keen sport fan; when not walking Boycie, his bulldog puppy.
“I am really looking forward to building relationships with local organisations and businesses in my area. Working together with them to design some fantastic creative outdoor spaces will not only inspire our younger generations but also hugely benefit their mental & physical well-being.”
Our team are highly valued at Playdale, and the work they do daily reinforces our values of excellence and inclusivity, and the desire to make smiles everywhere we work. We are proud of their work, and look forward to seeing them build fantastic customer relationships in the future.
