July kicked off with the annual Playdale #Team-building event at the Lakeside YMCA North camp, which is located on the gorgeous shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District.
Teams made up of Playdale staff from the different departments took part in a fun-filled morning full of Laser Tag and Geoventure games! The aim of this event was to bring all Playdale staff across the business together, including our Area Managers from across the UK, as one #TEAM.
The day consisted of two events, Laser tag games which encouraged teams to work together, test their strategic planning, and most importantly have fun!
The second event,Geoventure, was a task-based event where teams had to complete a list of activities which was themed around the Playdale values with teamwork at the heart of each task.
Some of the Geoventure tasks included team members videoing themselves, Juggling, doing a flash mob, and even saying “Playdale is Great” in 5 different languages, to celebrate the diverse workforce at Playdale who is fluent in French, Portuguese, Arabic, Afrikaans, and Spanish as well as our presence in over 50 countries around the world.
Lynne Metcalfe,Head of People at Playdale said “Its not everyday that as Head of People you get the opportunity to close the factory/office doors to get the whole company out to play, have some fun and generally have a lot of laughs to celebrate our achievements and to say thank you for the last couple of years”
The day ended with an award ceremony where “I-Prey (on the weak)” took first place closely followed by Tag! You’re it and A team in third place.
