UK Trade & Investment’s Export Week is now underway and we were delighted to help launch the campaign with a visit from the UKTI’s Regional Director for the North West, Clive Drinkwater.
UKTI’s Export Week is aimed at increasing UK exports to help grow the economy. Clive was visiting Cumbria in an attempt to urge the regions businesses to make the most of opportunities to export, and we were very happy to show him round our premises.
In November 2013, we were very proud to be named as one of the top 30 Export Champions in the North West, and we are one of Cumbria’s most successful exporters.
The Export Champions programme is unique to the North West, and involves recruiting successful international firms to help and advise new companies on their export journey, offering peer to peer support and assistance.
We are very excited about the potential of export and it is great for the company, and for the area, that our success has been recognised to help put Cumbria on the map as a major player in international business.
The day was very enjoyable as we showed Clive around our offices and factory, giving him an insight into our business and operations. Clive said:
