Walking to help them keep flying!

Friday, 17th November 2017 4:46 pm

As many of you will remember, two dedicated teams of Playdale staff members donned their trainers to walk (& run!) the Keswick to Barrow (K2B) and the Coniston to Barrow (C2B) charity races back in May this year. Their incredible efforts and achievements were to raise money for the North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) who are one of Playdale’s chosen worthy causes that we’ve been supporting throughout 2017. They are an incredible charity who are regularly seen flying across the North West of England, saving lives by giving the gift of time. They rely on vital charitable funding to keep the service flying.

Sponsorship and donations came in from far and wide for these fantastic teams and when the final grand total was announced it was a phenomenal figure of £1,150!

Pictured above is David Wilson, Playdale’s HSQE Manager proudly handing over the cheque to Sarah Thompson, Fundraiser at North West Air Ambulance.

At the cheque presentation, Sarah told us “We were delighted to have the support of so many staff from Playdale Playgrounds Ltd, who took part in the K2B & C2B to raise vital funds to support our work. We really wouldn’t be here without people like you!”

Once again, a huge ‘well done’ to all involved!
