What Quality Means

What Quality Means to Playdale

When we talk about “quality”, we don’t just see a single aspect. Quality really is a guiding principle of everything Playdale takes part in. With a business portfolio covering over half the world, and with over 23,000 play areas built to date, we are immensely proud of how far we’ve come. We also make our reach and experience count, with an array of awards for our work, both nationally and internationally. As well as our designs and manufacturing, we take the quality of our service seriously too, and our customer care and aftersales team is fully accredited by the Register of Play Inspectors International. Every aspect of our work is thorough and rigorous, and done to the absolute best of our ability.

Community & The Environment

Environmental responsibility and the sustainability of our materials is of the utmost importance to our sector. Playdale is a member of TRADA; the Timber Research and Development Association, and registered to ISO 14001 environmental management, meaning we are committed to protecting and sustaining our environment, both in terms of our materials and of our industrial processes.

Building a playground is always a community project, and we take the social and environmental impact of our designs very seriously. All of our playgrounds are designed for inclusive play and are accessible to all. A playground is there to be used, and should never come with barriers to enjoyment. Our planet is our community, and it’s important that our work serves both the immediate area, and the world as a whole.

Outstanding British Manufacturing

As a founder member of the Association of Play Industries, it’s hugely important to us that our output is of the highest quality. All of our equipment is designed and manufactured right here in the UK to the most stringent standards, and we oversee every aspect. A culture of continuous improvement year on year allows us to stay ahead of current trends and to always be ready for the task. Furthermore, all Playdale equipment is independently tested and certified, so quality and safety is always assured. We don’t cut corners, and leave nothing to chance, so our quality and safety guarantees are always there.

Safety is also a huge part of our work. Ensuring that we operate a safe workplace, and that our designs are safe and fit for purpose, is our first priority. We are registered to ROSPA, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents; all of our equipment is carefully designed for safe play and the absolute minimisation of risk. Play should be thrilling, but it should always come with peace of mind.

The Proof is in the Play

Playdale’s professional reach and experience speak of the high quality of our work. We put passion and 40 years of experience into our playgrounds, and make every play area we build a safe, inspiring and fun place to be. Quality is everything to Playdale, and we are delighted that we have World Quality Week to highlight the amazing work our team has done, and continues to do.
