About me:

I live in a lovely village just outside the city of Cambridge with my wonderful wife, Claire. We have two grown-up kids who still drop back home regularly — one is currently studying at UEA in Norwich, and the other has started his own working career, so there’s always great conversation (and plenty of laundry!) when they are home.

Outside of work, cooking and music are my biggest passions. Weekends are often spent around the table with friends and family, trying out new recipes and enjoying good company and always with some music playing.

We’re incredibly lucky to have Cambridge on our doorstep. It’s rich in history and full of beautiful spots to explore on foot — perfect for relaxing walks and soaking up the city’s charm.

Sport has always been a big part of my life. Swimming and rugby are my main passions; I used to swim competitively when I was younger and fitter. These days I channel that energy into volunteering at my local swimming club, where I’m a qualified Level 2 swimming coach — something I find hugely rewarding.

Best thing about my job:

I work closely with our UK Key Accounts to develop and deliver world-class play spaces. Building strong, lasting relationships with our partners is at the heart of what I do — understanding their needs, sharing my knowledge, and supporting them throughout every stage of a project.

I’m passionate about the products we offer — from the way they’re manufactured to the quality and flexibility of our packages — and this expertise allows me to provide solutions that are truly tailored and unique. Nothing beats visiting a completed project and seeing children and families enjoying the space. Knowing I’ve played a part in creating that experience is incredibly rewarding.

By combining a focus on relationship building with a deep understanding of our products and their quality, I ensure that every Key Account benefits from innovative, high-quality solutions that stand out in the market.

What our customers say...

The Playdale team worked closely with us to develop a vibrant theme for our new adventure playground at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, which is a unique site. The designs presented by Playdale fitted in with our woodland and heritage environment really well. The installation of the new playground equipment came with complications including a challenging split level location, active protected wildlife and the Covid-19 lockdown but the Playdale team were flexible and were able to deliver a fantastic looking adventure playground area for us despite some challenges along the way. Our visitors are now enjoying the play equipment and the new bespoke tower units certainly complement the woodland surroundings and have the wow factor we were hoping to achieve. "From point of contact to point of installation the process could not have gone any easier and more pleasurable. The children love what has been installed and I loved the fact that it required little effort from me!” Find out more about our school playground design services.

"It gave us confidence to know that we could contact you or your colleagues at any time and receive immediate friendly advice. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for you. We are left with the impression that Playdale is a well-run company of quality"
Steve Prewer, Wat Tyler Country Park
The play area sits very well into the landscape and all of the equipment is proving to be incredibly popular with a wide age range of children.  It has brought families and children out of their houses to play and socialise in just the way we had hoped for.  We have even had coverage in the local newspaper, the Biggleswade Chronicle, copy of printed and online articles attached with a couple of additional photos.  I also have several photos of the equipment without children which I will send separately and high res copies are available if you would like to use any in your own communications. In summary, the play area although small is a real achievement for Ickwell and we would like to thank you for your help in supporting us along the journey to making it a reality.  Playdale have provided us with an excellent service, design and quality installation which we are grateful for.
