Members of the Playdale Corporate Social Responsibility Team recently visited the Royal Preston Hospital Children’s Ward and the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity Office to learn more about the fantastic work the Children’s Appeal has been doing to improve hospitals throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The Children’s Appeal has been supported by #Team Playdale throughout 2022 as part of our ongoing commitment to support local charities through initiatives such as bake sales, fancy dress days, and the occasional charity challenge.
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity Children’s Appeals was established post covid and their aim is to raise £ 1 million to create a bright, friendly, and appealing environment for all children and parents that visit their hospitals.
Ollie, Hannah and Sophie were shown the incredible facility improvements that have been happening in the children’s ward at the Royal Preston Hospital and the on going projects that Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity has been working on.
“It’s fantastic to see the ways in which the money we fundraised has been used and the smallest changes that have made the biggest difference to parents and children using the hospitals across Lancashire and South Cumbria. The contrast between the older children’s ward and the new one, with state-of-the-art facilities, was emotional to see.” Hannah Spooner Marketing Coordinator.
Members of #Team Playdale have come together to raise over £3500 for the amazing charity as well as donating toys for Christmas through their Amazon Wishlist.
