Playdale has now reached the halfway point of this year’s fundraising journey. So far we have raised £1,200 for our two staff-chosen charities.
Bay Search and Rescue
The Bay Search and Rescue is a highly skilled team of volunteers dedicated to saving lives in maritime emergencies. Specialising in swift-water rescue and boat operations, their expertise, advanced training, and cutting-edge equipment enable them to navigate challenging conditions and ensure the safety of communities along coastal regions like those in our local area.
Right to Play UK
Much like Playdale, Right to Play UK champions the power of play in children’s lives, emphasising its role in education, health, and social development. By collaborating with them, we are showcasing our commitment to children’s well-being and actively contributing to fostering inclusive play environments for underprivileged children, while tangibly impacting less advantaged communities, enabling them to thrive through the universal language of play.
There has been numerous efforts raised by various departments over the past six months.
The Playdale Lunch Club has been particularly popular with a different theme each month! From burritos to curry and everyone’s favorite Pie! All very delicious, and all proceeds will go towards our chosen charities, which is doubly delicious!
Our Global Business Development Manager, Paul Battye. Has raised an inspiring £300 for one of our chosen charities ‘Right to Play UK’. He has achieved this by taking part in the ‘Howorth Hobble Ultra Marathon’ which is a grueling 32 mile race across the North of England.
We have also taken part in office sweepstakes for the Grand National and Euros Football Tournament. The winners of our sweepstakes received a small prize, and as for the rest of the proceeds, they will go to our chosen charities. It is a win-win all round really.
We have another six months of scrumptious lunch clubs to look forward to! As well as a handy tuck shop stocked with enough sweet treats to keep us going throughout the rest of the year.
We will all have the chance to attend a bus trip to Manchester, just in time for the High Street Christmas markets! During the journey there will be a game of bingo, which will be included in the ticket price and all proceeds will go towards our chosen charities.
Keep an eye out on our blogs for further CSR updates.

Playground design in the UK has been evolving rapidly as we move through 2026, with changes in playground equipment, school playground design, and community spaces driving new expectations. Inclusive playground design, done well, is invisible, not because it’s hidden, but because it’s so naturally woven into the design that no child has to think about it. They just play. Together. It’s about more than just adding a single accessible feature. It’s about creating spaces where all children can play together. More Than […]
