Disability Confident Employer

We are proud to announce our progression from Level 1 ‘Disability Confident Committed’ to Level 2 ‘Disability Confident Employer’ status as part of the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme. This significant achievement highlights Playdales continued commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive working environment for all employees, including those with disabilities.

This accreditation comes during National Inclusion Week 2024, reinforcing our dedication to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion within our workplace culture. We have has implemented a range of inclusive recruitment practices, support mechanisms, and policies that ensure individuals with disabilities can thrive at every level.

The UK Government scheme was introduced in 2016 and plays a leading role for businesses and networks to identify employers that demonstrate a fair commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Charlie Willaims, HR Advisor at Playdale said:

“We are incredibly proud to have moved from Level 1 to Level 2 in the Disability Confident scheme. At Playdale, we believe in creating an all-inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed, regardless of ability. This recognition demonstrates our commitment to becoming a truly inclusive employer for South Cumbria, and we look forward to continuing this journey as we push towards greater diversity and opportunity for all.”

As a Disability Confident Employer, we will continue to work to remove barriers to employment and progression for disabled individuals, ensuring their workforce reflects the diverse communities they serve.
