Welcome to Playdale’s Picnic and Play guide for 2025, created to help families find exciting parks over the school holidays! We have made sure that all these parks are equipped with a fantastic selection of playground equipment and spaces to relax over a picnic.
This week we are travelling to Staffordshire, a county filled with plenty of diverse attractions! Our Area Sales Manager for the North West, Jordan Kowalewicz has suggested a fantastic trio of family-friendly parks and playgrounds for you to try.
There are of course many more Playdale playgrounds across the North West and the rest of the UK, so you won’t struggle to find one near you.
34 Mount Rd, Blythe Bridge, Stoke-on-Trent ST11 9PZ (what3words: smallest.projects.liberated)
Situated in the suburbs of Stoke-on-Trent, this playground is packed full of fun activities for the whole family.
Children can enjoy a wide range of exciting features, including an Aerial Runway, Team Swing, and an Adventure Trail. With plenty more to discover from our playground equipment ranges!
Additionally, make sure you remember to bring your bikes (and helmets!) to make the most of the nearby pump track, which offers a thrilling ride just next to the main play area.
The Park includes a fantastic green space, perfect for a kickabout or for children to burn off some energy. Before settling down for a lovely picnic on one of their many benches spread across the park.
For adults or older children, there’s a selection of outdoor fitness equipment set slightly apart from the playground. Making it ideal for a quick workout before a leisurely picnic.
22 Bell Orchard, Ashley, Market Drayton TF9 4JW (what3words: asserts.pulse.expecting)
Tucked away in the village of Ashley, this playground offers a fantastic variety of play opportunities for families of all ages and abilities.
Children can enjoy one of our 2-Bay Swings, complete with a team swing, cradle seat, and junior seat, ensuring there’s something for everyone to join fun!
The Woodland Eco Towers Avenue unit invites children to explore both their physical and imaginative capabilities, while the Mini Orbiter adds an extra element of excitement for those who are looking for some sensory stimulation.
A nearby bench provides a comfortable spot for parents to sit back and relax as their children play, and it also makes a lovely place to enjoy a snack or picnic after a fun-filled day.
3 Rectory Cl, Drayton Bassett, Tamworth B78 3UH (what3words: pool.puppy.create)
A short distance away from Drayton Manor Resort, this park is a perfect alternative to escape the rush. The play area features a range of equipment from our stainless steel range, all designed to test children’s skills and keep them active.
For those who would rather spend time playing sports, there’s also a MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area) for you to enjoy. Just don’t forget to bring your own sports equipment along with you!
There is a footpath that surrounds the park. An ideal option to keep yourself moving while your children play. After your stroll around the park, you should take advantage of its large green space. You’re truly spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing the perfect place for a picnic!
Whether you live in Staffordshire, visiting or just passing through. Pack yourself a picnic and don’t miss out on the opportunity to visit these fantastic playgrounds. Especially if you are looking for an unforgettable day out!

Inclusive playground design, done well, is invisible, not because it’s hidden, but because it’s so naturally woven into the design that no child has to think about it. They just play. Together. It’s about more than just adding a single accessible feature. It’s about creating spaces where all children can play together. More Than […]
