Sail away on a Caribbean adventure at the Sea Life Centre, Weymouth

As far as exciting, themed playgrounds go…they don’t come much better than this!

Playdale Playgrounds were delighted to be awarded the contract to design, build and install the brand new ‘Caribbean Cove Adventure Playground’ at Merlin Entertainments’ Sea Life Centre in Weymouth, Dorset. It is already proving to be a superb addition to an already hugely popular visitor attraction.

Tamsin Mutton-Mcknight, General Manager of the Sea Life Centre said: “We are thrilled with the success of Caribbean Cove since the launch. Captains, commodores and sailors can climb aboard the Caribbean Cove Galleon and sail away to the seven seas on a magical adventure. The Play Galleon Plus is packed with activities, climbing challenges and even has its own parrot! Whilst on board, the shipmates can look out for rays, jellyfish and turtles swimming in the deep blue sea…but they need to keep a lookout for sharks!

Marine explorers can run around, up and down the long, curling arms of the purple octopus as the waves lap around them, then stop to take a rest under a shady palm tree, on one of the sandy desert islands. The mounded Wet Pour surfacing is an additional feature that makes a huge impact on young children’s play and imagination, and adds so much interest into the area.

A tree top trail through the fun packed ‘Calypso Heights’ tower unit will challenge, thrill and excite!
