All Saints C of E Primary School, East Sussex

Client: All Saints C of E Primary School

Location: East Sussex

Budget: £50,000

Completed: May 2013

The Challenge

To enhance the quality of the pupils’ playtime by providing an exciting, active play environment that would cater for all ages.

The Result

The play area has been a huge hit with children at the school and the teachers are delighted with the impact that it has had on their pupils’ playtimes. The grassy area wasn’t being used as frequently as they would have liked due to weather conditions, so Synthetic Grass was seen as the perfect choice of surfacing.

The children of All Saints C of E Primary School can now enjoy a fantastic Adventure Trail to complement their existing equipment. Playdale’s Adventure Trail is designed to keep children active and to challenge a number of their skills, including: balance and coordination, problem solving, and teamwork.

Set amongst the trees, the timber equipment complements its surroundings beautifully, and the Synthetic Grass really adds the finishing touch to the play area.

The Verdict

Sarah Massheder, Head Teacher, said: “The new area looks amazing. It has transformed the playground and, more importantly, it has transformed our play times. The children simply love going on the trim trail, and the synthetic grass is a huge hit. The children even collect twigs and catkins that come off the trees at play and lunch time WITHOUT BEING ASKED! We have even used the synthetic grass area immediately after it has been raining, and it was almost dry – miraculous!”
