We have had an amazing day at the Playdale factory in Haverthwaite. Playdale are building our new climbing frame next month and invited us along to see how it was designed and made. It was also a fantastic opportunity to learn about and handle wood, rubber, rope, metal and CGL. Thank you so much to Hannah, Mick and all the Playdale team for having us! Jane Holme- School Business Manager.
A group of Year 1 & 2 children from Skelton School in Penrith recently visited Playdale’s Head Office in Haverthwaite for an educational behind the scenes tour.
The school will soon be having a new Playdale playground and their visit allowed them to discover how exciting playground equipment is designed, built and sold… not just in the UK but around the world.
With their school topic of the term being materials, the visit was a perfect opportunity to learn about the materials their new playground equipment will be manufactured from. They had the chance to ask a whole host of questions to members of staff about the various areas of the business; including Design, Technical and Manufacturing.
The children particularly enjoyed their tour of our manufacturing facility. They even got the chance to get up close with some of our equipment installed in our testing area.
A tour of our factory with our Contracts Manager for the North of England, Mick O’Doherty.
A chance for the children to get hands on with our materials. As a thank you for coming to visit us our CEO Barry presented the children with a routed plaque featuring the schools name.
