Export success is ITV News-worthy

Did you spot us on the local news last week?

We had a phone call last Wednesday morning from ITV Border News asking if they could call in to Playdale head office in Haverthwaite, to do some filming which would be included in a news article to be broadcast that same evening. We were of course delighted to welcome them.

Kate Walby, ITV Border reporter, visited our head office in Haverthwaite, interviewed our export coordinator Sarah Spencer and took some shots from around the business. It was a great experience and we were excited to see the finished report go on air to the England/Scotland border region later that day.

We were even given a tour around the ITV News van with all its hi tech editing equipment!

The news report features two Cumbrian businesses in the south of the county who are forging strong trading links with China. Thanks to our ongoing export success we were approached by ITV to feature alongside Kendal Nutricare. Rob Johnston, Chief Executive of Cumbria Chamber of Commerce also features in the report, confirming that there is a wealth of export opportunity out there.
