Making Smiles at Buckingham Palace

Playdale has been recognised for its contribution to the UK Economy by King Charles III at Buckingham Palace at a reception for Small Businesses across the UK who have demonstrated value to the UK economy on Wednesday 16th November.

The reception was attended by His Majesty the King, Prince Edward the Earl of Wessex, The Duke of Gloucester, and The Duke of Kent, who made time to meet leaders of businesses from all over the UK.

President Barry Leahey MBE attended the event on behalf of Playdale saying “It is Playdale’s mission to make smiles for all generations through play, so it was great to have the opportunity when speaking to His Majesty the King,to not only tell him about the success of Playdale but also how his Grandchildren have been using our play equipment outside the Royal residence, which made the King smile as captured in the photograph”.

Playdale was recognised for its progressive mindset over the past five years in the way it had prepared for Brexit and continued growth throughout Covid.

The event was attended by over 300 businesses across the UK, each nominated by an industry body for their contribution to the UK economy
