Welcome to Playdale’s Picnic and Play guide for 2026, created to help families find the best parks and playgrounds over the summer holidays! We’ve made sure all these parks are equipped with a fantastic selection of playground equipment and spaces to relax and enjoy a picnic.
This week, we are heading to Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Lewis McGiffin, our Area Sales Manager covering the South of England, has chosen some of the best family-friendly playgrounds in the area for you to explore.
There are, of course, many more Playdale playgrounds across the South of England and the rest of the UK, so you won’t struggle to find one near you.

Situated in the peaceful village of Letcombe Regis, this playground is the perfect destination for families with younger children.
While the play area is particularly well suited to toddlers and younger children, there is still plenty to keep older children entertained, making it a great place for a family day out.
Younger children can enjoy everything from insect-themed springers to interactive Play Panels. As well as our exciting Little Hamlets unit, designed to encourage imaginative play. The Inclusive Orbit roundabout and Toddler Swing also provide fun sensory experiences for young thrill seekers.
Older children can enjoy more active play with one of our classic Jukebox units, a Junior Swing, and the Inclusive Orbit roundabout, encouraging movement, social interaction, and outdoor adventure.
Set within a spacious playing field, the playground also offers a relaxing place for families to unwind. A nearby bench provides the perfect picnic spot, while the surrounding open grass creates plenty of space for blankets, games, and quality time outdoors.

Situated on the outskirts of Marlow, this playground makes the perfect family day out this summer.
The standout feature of the playground is our fantastic 4-Bay Team Swing, designed to offer something for everyone. With an inclusive Team Swing seat, two cradle seats, and four junior seats, there is plenty of space for the whole family to join in the fun together.
For children ready for a bigger adventure, the playground also features one of our best-selling Woodland Eco Tower units. Packed with opportunities to climb, explore, and play, this exciting structure encourages you to embark on true playground adventures during your visit.

Children will love spinning round on our Inclusive Orbit roundabout before heading over to the swings to see who can soar the highest. With an additional swing bay included, younger children can join in the fun too, making the space ideal for a wide range of ages.
Looking for an adventure? Younger children can climb aboard the Play Tractor with Trailer to explore endless role-play scenarios and countryside-inspired journeys.
