How To Raise Money For Playground Equipment By Inviting Santa

Christmas is the time of year where many charities raise money for their cause. It is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for playground equipment too. Local playgrounds are the hub of any community and are the perfect place to organize a visit from Santa.

Playground committees play a vital role in ensuring that children still enjoy the freedom and adventure provided by playground equipment. Local playgrounds are charities run by volunteers who spend their time maintaining the playground equipment and raising money to purchase new equipment.

The local community plays a vital role in supporting the playground committee by attending fundraising events organized by them. Playgrounds often lay dormant in winter but the magic of Christmas brings it all back to life again.

Meeting Santa

Building up to Christmas Day generates the most excitement at this time of the year. Christmas fairs and coffee mornings generally always have Santa Claus as their special guest. All children with very few exceptions enjoy confiding in the big man which presents they would like to have.

You can turn your playground into a simple winter wonderland with a few fairy lights, glitter decorations and glow sticks. Set up a cosy grotto or even source a sleigh with Father Christmas waiting to receive visitors and give them a special gift.

In order to guarantee that families will come to your playground, it is a good idea to sell tickets and run a social media campaign. Selling tickets and making the event seem exclusive will make the tickets even more desirable.

During Santa’s visit, hot chocolate and mince pies can be sold so that the waiting adults can enjoy the cold as an excuse for a social gathering. You can make the event as big or as small as you like depending on how much money you wish to raise.

Replacing Playground Equipment

Members of playground committees are transient because they are normally made up of parents of younger children who spend a long time in the play area. All parents want to make their child’s play space as exciting and stimulating as possible. Joining a playground committee is the simplest way to help make a difference.

Playground equipment sometimes needs replacing because it has run the course of its life and is very old. Installing new playground equipment after a successful fundraising effort always bring the local community together.

Playground equipment lasts for decades and replacement parts are available so that every piece of playground equipment continues to be safe to use.

If you would like to raise money to improve your local playground but are unsure where to start Playdale has a playground funding information pack. This will help you to plan your campaign and find out about the funding options available to you.
