Playdale launching new company values

Phil Jackson once said ‘The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.’

Teams made up of Playdale staff took part in a fun-filled afternoon full of tactical mind games, physical challenges and lots of laughs! The aim of this event was to bring all Playdale staff across the business together, including our Area Managers from across the UK, to launch our new company values #TEAM.

The team building games were based on the five new values and teamwork was at the heart of each. Our new core values support the new vision of Playdale. We were determined to build our values into everything we do, by sharing our passion with our customers and employees. These are not just words and icons, but the very essence of what we do, how we do it and why we do it. We want all employees to be part of the Playdale family and demonstrate their commitment to #Team!

The icebreaker game pulled everyone together as a team!

Winners: The Non-Standard Units!

For the third year running, the Pride of Playdale awards recognised all our exceptional employees who have demonstrated outstanding actions and attitude over the course of the past year, which their colleagues felt were worthy of recognition.  Fifty nominations were steadily received during the weeks leading up to the event which highlighted that there have been many team members across the company who stood out to their colleagues, through their efforts and achievements.

The judging panel had an extremely hard job ahead of them and were quick to point out on the day of the award ceremony that ALL nominees were winners, and huge congratulations were given to all.

However, there had to be individual category winners and here are the results:

  • Newcomer of the Year – Keenan Pugh, Apprentice
  • Community Focused – Steph D’Leny, Sales Coordinator
  • Taking Pride in Customer Service – Lyn Matthews, External Ops Coordinator
  • Outstanding Team – CNC & Assemblies
  • Support for Colleagues – Sue Hartley, Sales Order Processor

A great afternoon was had by everyone at #TeamPlaydale

Inclusive Play – Integrate, Don’t Segregate
Monday, 13th April 2026

Inclusive playground design, done well, is invisible, not because it’s hidden, but because it’s so naturally woven into the design that no child has to think about it. They just play. Together.
