Now that 2024 has come to a close, it is time to show you what our #TEAM have been up to this year, and of course announce how much we have raised for our two staff-chosen charities! Right to Play UK and Bay Search & Rescue.
We have held a total of 12 scrumptious lunch clubs across the 12 months this year! We have tucked into tasty pies, jacket potatoes, and a fantastic grand finale in December which included festive baps with cranberry and apple sauce. How delicious!
Our Global Business Development Manager, Paul Battye took part in the ‘Haworth Hobble Ultra Marathon’ (the Howarth Hobble is a grueling 32 mile race across the North of England). His great generosity and endurance contributed £300 to this year’s charity pot.
Our CSR team took much time planning a Christmas bus trip to Manchester, Playdale staff and members of the public were all invited to join,! we all got to take part in a thrilling game of bingo, along with tucking into a tasty breakfast bag making sure we all had full stomachs upon arrival.
In October we held a charity quiz night which went down a blast. We received many kind donations from local businesses for our raffle, and raised a fantastic £700 from quiz teams, stand-up bingo and raffle tickets!
In early December our Procurement Lead and Florist, Nicola held a festive craft session after work to help boost our fundraising efforts even more! Everyone enjoyed their toasty hot chocolates and wreaths making.
As well as holding these events, we have also held many smaller staff-involved events. Including office sweepstakes for the Grand National and Euros Football Tournament, a holiday raffle to try win an extra days holiday, and a tasty tuck shop that is always being kept stocked-up.
Now for the part that everyone has been waiting for. How much have we raised for our 2024 charities…
