Our distributor in the United Arab Emirates recently completed the installation of a Playdale i.play system at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel on Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates.
This is a five star hotel where the outdoor playground area is located in the heart of the hotel between the villas which are occupied by the hotel guests. There are a number of pieces of Playdale equipment already installed and enjoyed at this site and they were now looking for a new exciting addition to cater for a wide age range.
Playdale’s intelligent, electronic play system; the i.play, was presented and suggested to the hotel’s management team as they wanted to have some unique recreational equipment in the hotel. Our distribution agent proposed the i.play as a combination of an electronic interactive game and physical activity. Having never seen a product like the i.play before, the hotel’s management team wanted to find out more about this product, so the features and benefits were presented to them in detail.
The i.play was the first electronic outdoor playground unit that has revolutionised the outdoor play industry. It is visionary, revolutionary, healthy and represents a significant breakthrough in outdoor play. It combines interactive electronics with conventional playground equipment and its main aim was to break the vicious cycle of sedentary behaviour associated with electronic games.
There are nine games currently included in the i.play package catering for solo and for multi players. The system is solar powered, DDA* compliant and vandal resistant. It will test agility and timing, promote physical development and improve fitness and wellbeing.
Since its installation it has been attracting a lot of attention from intrigued guests. It appeals to and is suitable for children and adults alike. The i.play makes physical activity exciting, fun and sociable.
Alongside this, the Double Tree by Hilton Marjan Island’s hotel playground already features our timber Adventure Trail equipment, a Mega Swing, a toddler multi play tower unit from our Little Hamlets Plus range and a Wigwam from our Role Play range.
