Bellway Homes had to add a LEAP play area to their housing development as it was a 106 project. Francois Ginevert, Bellway Homes Quantity Surveyor, had worked with us in the past on a number of play areas and was very happy to work with the company again.
The challenge for this project was to make use of the grassy area by providing a safe environment for children within the community to play outside their homes. The play area had to blend into its surroundings and provide a safe, exciting environment for children in the area to play.
We chose equipment that would complement the surrounding houses and the rural area, choosing a fantastic mix of timber and stainless steel products, including: a Jukebox Selection multi-play unit, Inclusive Orbit, Team Swing, Gravity Bowl, Mound, and Adventure Trail. This equipment was chosen specifically to allow all abilities and age ranges to enjoy playing on the equipment. The play area was DDA compliant, allowing for inclusive play, and also meeting LEAP standards.
The children in the area now have an exciting new play area that provides a range of activities, allowing them to challenge themselves and have fun. The play area looks great and blends into the rural area perfectly. The parents in the area are delighted that they have a safe place for their children to play on their doorstep.
